A 16-years old, female volleyball player.
History and previous treatment:
Conservative treatment failed.
Current complaints:
2 years complains, no serious ankle injury before.
Physical examination:
Deep ankle pain, slight posterior impingement.

Yes, this is syndesmotic soft tissue impingement. The tissue usually consists of traumatized fatty tissue. Treatment by arthroscopic removal is usually successful.
