Hindfoot endoscopy gives excellent access to the posterior ankle compartment, the subtalar joint, and extra-articular structures such as the os trigonum, the deep portion of the deltoid ligament, the posterior syndesmotic ligaments, the tarsal tunnel, the retrocalcaneal bursa, and the Achilles tendon.
