Avulsion of anterolateral ankle joint capsule with calcifications

Description

A 15-years old soccer player with persistent pain one year after distortion. With physical examination there is recognizable anterolateral tenderness on palpation.

Picture 1: The X-ray shows calcifications at the insertion of the anterolateral joint capsule to the talus.

Picture 2: The CT-scan shows calcifications at the insertion of the anterolateral joint capsule to the talus.

Picture 3: During arthroscopy the calcifications were identified and removed.
