Longitudinal Rupture Peroneus Brevis Tendon

Description

A 37 years old male patient with persistent posterolateral ankle pain underwent a peroneal tendoscopy, after a longitudinal rupture of the peroneus brevis was identified on MRI. 

Picture 1 and 2: Peroneal tendoscopy of right ankle: length rupture peroneus brevis tendon (scope placed in distal portal looking towards proximal).

Treatment consisted of resection of the part of the peroneus tendon with the smallest diameter.
