Description

Orientation in an ankle with ankle prosthesis can be difficult:
A 70 year old male patient with left sided anteromedial ankle impingement underwent anterior ankle arthroscopy. Patient had an ankle prosthesis implanted 3 years before. Ankle arthroscopy was performed because of anterior impingement pain.

The picture shows the plastic inlay and the mirror image of the inlay on the metal implant. The orientation is difficult and it is important not to damage the metal plate while removing the scar tissue and synovitis.
