A 22 years old patient underwent implantation of a Hemicap prosthesis on the medial talar dome for a large OCD. She has been treated unsuccessfully with microfracturing before. After Hemicap implantation the complaints completely resolved.
During routine screw removal of the medial malleolar osteotomy 1 year later, the Hemicap prothesis was inspected: it has been (partially) covered with fibrocartilage!
