Preparation
Positioning
A medial malleolus osteotomy is carried out as a clinical procedure with a hospital stay of approximately 3 days.
The patient is placed in the supine position, with a tourniquet around the upper leg and a rolled-up apron underneath the lateral malleolus.
Instruments
A set is necessary to complete the medial malleolar osteotomy. This set should contain: periosteal elevators, hohman retractors, arthroscopic probe, drill (2,5 mm), screw tap (mm), saw, large diameter osteotoma, K-wires, clampes and a hammer.
